Automated Workflow Begins With Understanding the Current Manual Workflows

  • * A request is made by an employee from the sales-team for a new LED TV in their conference room 
  • * Requester must use paper form-1290
  • * Requester fills the top portion of the form including date, name, department,equipment requested
  • * Document then is sent to Inventory Control department for “availability check”
  • * Inventory Control Department reviews the request
  • * Inventory Control Authorized person checks box on the form as product is “available”
  • * Request form then is sent to the Inventory Manager for signature
  • * From Inventory Manager, the form-1290 must go to requester department manager for signature
  • * Next Form is sent to Department of budget for approval and signature
  • * From department of budget, the form is sent to Sales manager for final approval
  • * From Sales manager the form returns back to Inventory room for pickup
  • * Requester is notified that the product is ready for pickup
